Fairfield State Park development details revealed: Country club, multimillion-dollar homes

The 5,000-acre development will include a country club, multimillion-dollar homes in a plan the developer says is ‘mindful of the land and history.’

Developers are detailing plans for an exclusive community and resort to be built on the site of a popular state park 90 miles south of Dallas.

The Fairfield Lake State Park and surrounding land is being acquired by Dallas-based developer Todd Interests, which plans to build a golf course community and resort with multimillion-dollar homes. Todd Interests bought the 5,000-acre site after Irving-based Vistra Corp. put it on the market more than two years ago. The state, which had a lease on the land, declined to make the purchase.

The property – which includes Fairfield Lake – was marketed to sell for more than $110 million. Final terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
